A Higher Place is a Bible study resource created by Lyndon Akins (Lyn).  Lyn is a Senior Vice President with Aon Integramark in Atlanta.  In 2009 he received a Master of Divinity Degree from Luther Rice University, and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  Terry is also a graduate of The University of Tennessee and  has earned her CFA designation.  After 17 years working for a top 50 organization she resigned the position of  SVP Group Executive to stay at home and raise their daughter.  She is self-employed as a consultant for a multi-state bank. 

Lyn and Terry were married in 1985 and lived in Winston-Salem, NC for six years.  They currently reside in Atlanta with their daughter Anna.  She attends Marist High School and is quite a scholar and basketball player.  The Akins family enjoy life with their devoted yellow lab Georgia, and they are members and teachers at Dunwoody Baptist Church.
